Super 60 Showcase Fabulous Five
The Super 60 Showcase was a big hit. It featured players from all across the state of Arkansas looking to display their talent and abilities in front of college coaches and scouts. We had a sold out event of 60 players. This article will feature five players that had a good showing.
Raigan Head | 5’10 | Wing | Newport High School | 2023
Raigan was a player that I was eager to see at the camp. The 5’10 wing uses her body well when attacking off the dribble and on defense. It’s great seeing players that can play with pace. She doesn’t rush or play out of control. She will grab the defensive rebound and push it in transition. If the lane is clogged and the defense doesn’t stop her, she won’t force her way to the rim. She’ll just stop behind the three-point line and knock down the three-ball. She’s a good passer in the half-court and she moves well without the ball. Her movement allowed her to get open for the catch and shoot three. Raigan also got to the rim a few times and finished in traffic. With her size she can also score from the low block. She can post up smaller players, control the boards, and plays a smart game.
Miciah Fusilier | 6’3 | Wing/Forward | Camden | Camden Jr. High | 2027
Miciah is a special talent. Standing at 6’3 gives you advantages that just can’t be taught, but she also has the skills that give you advantages as well. The first thing you will notice about Miciah is that she is fearless. It doesn’t matter who she is matched up with, she won’t back down or be afraid. I like her competitive nature. There was an instance when she lost in 3v3 and a player was celebrating with one of the coaches and she just gave this glaring look. Nobody noticed it, but I did. When it comes to skills she can defend just about position. If she gets beat off the dribble her length can make up for it and block or alter the shot. She can snag the defensive rebound and push it in transition, has good footwork on the perimeter and around the basket, can shoot the three, attack off the bounce, finish at the rim, and she plays with a good pace.
Cydney Sanders | 5’6 | Point Guard | Episcopal Collegiate | 2026
I’ve seen Cydney play a few times and know what she can bring to the table. This write up on her is about her toughness. She wasn’t feeling the best and could have just called it a day and just tried to make it through but she didn’t. Players don’t have to look flawless, they can have an off day. An “off day” for Cydney is actually a good day for others. Technically she didn’t have an off day, but I could tell she wasn’t herself. But like I said that didn’t stop her. She had her moments of showing her quickness and athletic ability. She got to the rim off the dribble, she was assertive, got her teammates involved and gave the effort needed on defense. Playing hard and fighting through adversity is a skill and Cydney showed that skill well at the camp.
Jessie Lyle | 5’4 | Combo Guard | Nashville High School | 2025
I try to keep an open mind about the players I evaluate. Sometimes scouts and coaches get excited about certain players and I just look at them and be like 🤷🏾♂️, I’m not too impressed. So for me to get excited about a player is a big deal. So what gets me excited are players that play the game the right way. Jessie not only plays the game the right way, she has skills. Like for real skills. Whatever you want she has it. I love shooters and I really love point guards. So if you are a point guard that can shoot I will love your game. When I say shoot I mean actually shoot. Off the dribble, spot-up, in transition, mid-range, three-ball, finish at the rim, and from the free-throw line. She has it all. Jessie has a high IQ, can make plays off the dribble, makes on-target passes and is clutch. She hit the game winning three at the buzzer in a 5v5 game.
Lauren Lain | 5’9 | Forward | Bryant High School | 2023
This was only my second time seeing Lauren play. I saw her at high school summer workout and I knew then she was a player I needed to keep an eye on. So when she registered for the camp I knew I needed to get a good look at what she could do. When you talk about players that play with energy, effort, and passion then you have to mention Lauren. Being 5’9, athletic and giving maximum effort goes a long way for players like her. Her high school coach constantly talks about how hard she works before and after practice. I could tell she’s been working because just from the summer I could see the improvements. She has a good enough handle to get into the paint to make plays. She has good footwork on her finishes, she slashes, rebounds well, and plays solid defense. If she continues to hone in on her shooting and be a little more consistent from the perimeter, she will be a nice pick-up for a team at the next level.
